Kaitlyn was to be our first grandchild.

Honda Hoot - Asheville
Joyce and Lois's trip this year was to Alaska!  They flew from Minneapolis to Anchorage then switched to a bus. After 9 days of touring, seeing Denali National Park, Fairbanks, cruising the Yukon River and exploring Whitehorse area, they boarded a Norwegian Wind Cruise Ship which over six days took them 1000 miles back down the coast to Vancouver, British Columbia. Finally after some difficulty getting out of the Seattle airport the next day, they flew back Wisconsin Rapids, arriving 10 minutes before midnight, 14 days after they had left.  (More photos here.)

We are still keeping up the tradition of spending two weeks in the fall at Avon, near Cape Hatteras on North Carolina's Outer Banks. Always lots of action on the point.

Bicycling Ocracoke is a big deal.

New Location!

My office with a recessed Monitor at Siemens in JOCY - Nice for the older set with bifocals.

Dr. Mills, my eye doctor in Elizabethton encouraged me to find a way to lower the monitor and this is what our machine shop came up with. Pretty slick and worked great.

Thanksgiving at Dave and Linda's

We did not send a general form Christmas letter in 2000 like we did other years. Instead, we sent just a few short personalized notes to friends that included a link to a web page with a few family photos from 2000.  (Web page no longer available.)
